This fundraiser is to help raise money for the Tapparo Family to help care for Ashley and help make a little girl’s dream come true by fulfilling a wish on her bucket list to go to the ocean! Ashley Tapparo is fighting her 3rd battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. To describe Ashley is to say she is a beacon of light, the brightest and happiest light that shines on all of us. She is a gentle but formidable Warrior. Ashley, who is now 18 started her battle with cancer at 9 months old. She not only beat the odds and proved what a tough warrior she was at 9 months old, but she did it again for another year and a half and was able to ring the bell at the age of 17. Now at the age of 18, Ashley’s cancer has come back for the third time. Ewing’s Sarcoma is not only rare it is a very aggressive, painful cancer. She is undergoing more radiation than any one person should be able to tolerate to her spine and brain. She has surpassed the treatment protocol for this type of cancer, and now this family needs all the prayers for a miracle to find a treatment that will stop her cancer from growing. Ashley and her family have to stay in the hospital to have her radiation treatment and control her pain. Ashley’s dream bucket list was to go to Hawaii this year. Unfortunately, that is too far, and she cannot travel that distance. We ask that you open your heart to donate to this amazing family to help send Ashley to fulfill a part of her bucket list to go to the ocean! As a mom with a child with cancer (Austin), hearing your child has cancer is an indescribable pain; to hear it not only once but twice, and then again a third time is something NO parent or child should have to endure. This 3rd battle is a battle that at this time does not have a successful outcome. This is why Ashley deserves more than anything to be able to feel and breathe in the ocean breeze!

There are not enough words to express how generous this family is even during their child’s own battle with cancer. The Tapparo family always makes sure other kids battling cancer at Kaiser that their rooms are decorated and provides comfort to all the other families whose kids are battling cancer. Their faith and devotion to God have brought comfort to so many of us with children fighting this horrible disease, cancer.
