My name is Alicia Gonzalez and I live in Maryland. I am asking for your help as the Eaton Fire took everything from my aunt and her family. The flames swept through so quickly that they only had time to escape with the clothes on their backs.

At 3 a.m., our family was sleeping when they were woken up by a call from their oldest daughter, who lives in Alaska. She had been advised that all of Altadena was on fire because of the Eaton Fire. My uncle, Betin, immediately rushed outside to find their roof already ablaze. He quickly got his family to safety, then went to wake and assist their elderly neighbors.

In the chaos, my uncle tried to save his work truck, but it was too late—it was already engulfed in flames. Despite the danger, he ran up the hill to rescue their horse.

The fire has left them with nothing. Their home, filled with memories and belongings, is gone. My uncle Betin is a beloved member of the Pasadena and Altadena communities, known to many through Commando Party Rentals, where his kindness and dedication have touched so many lives. Tragically, all his business supplies were stored in their garage and were lost in the fire, along with his work truck, which was essential to his livelihood.

Their children have also been deeply affected, Bella (13) who's school Elliot Middle School also burned and Gabriel (5) are dealing with losing all their personal belongings, including clothing, school supplies, and cherished keepsakes.

These funds will provide support for needs that may not be covered by other available resources.
