Help the sweetest little dog get better!

Hi. My name is Kevin and I’m only here for one reason - to help my friend Chelsea cover the cost of a necessary surgery for her sweet little dog Mowgli. Mowgli is the tiniest little thing that almost fits in the palm of my two hands. She is super loveable, super sweet and super friggin’ fast. This little one can go! She’s such a precious little animal and anyone that has met her can attest to that.

Unfortunately, Mowgli has a level three patella dislocation. In other words, she experiences chronic dislocation of the kneecap. Not only does it cause her tremendous pain, but it also limits her ability to play, run, and do all the other normal dog activities like - jumping up onto your lap and cuddling with you.

Now, anyone who has ever had to pay for a pet’s surgery knows very well how crazy expensive it can be. This particular procedure is something called a Trochlear ridge repair coming in at the affordable low price of … wait for it … yes that’s right … it only costs $7000.00!! What?!

Basically what they are doing is … deepening the ridge at the head of her femur where the kneecap sits so that it can stay in place. They also have to shorten the stretched muscles in her quadriceps which have been damaged due to the constant dislocations. Sounds fun right? The poor thing.

Anyway, Chelsea is a gem of a human being, a fantastic actor, and a really good dog owner who would do anything it takes to care for her little nugget. I really feel for her having to face an expense like this, not only because it is close to Christmas, but also because we are living in a friggin’ pandemic. And as every actor knows - living in this crazy expensive city of Toronto is tough enough at the best of times, yet alone during a global pandemic that has effected all areas of the arts in a crippling way.

I know that all of us are struggling financially and I get that. But if you can donate it would mean so much. AND it literally can be any size - no amount too small. For example: If 1400 people give $5 each (which is doable for most of us) we can reach this goal. So, if you feel this is something that you can help with (even by just sharing this) I would really, really appreciate it.

And of course, in full disclosure, all donations will be logged and tracked and accessible, to assure all of you that the money is indeed going towards the surgery, and not something like new camera gear for this guy!

Anyhoo, Chelsea is a really strong go-getter and she is working her ass off to try and make the money needed. And - I know she also would never ask for help with something like this. So I’m doing it for her. Let’s help Mowgli get better!
