On November 5th, 2025, our family home was destroyed by a fire that started in the kitchen. My dad, Brian Sweeney, my grandmother, Pam Sweeney, and our dog Yona—who was the only animal to survive—are now trying to rebuild our lives after this devastating loss. Tragically, we lost three cats and a puppy in the fire, and we had just begun renovating our home, starting with the roof. To make matters more difficult, our homeowners insurance had lapsed, leaving us without a safety net.
The fire took more than just our house. We lost cherished family photos, collectibles, computers, and so many other items that held deep sentimental value. While we are grateful to be safe, the loss of these memories and the comfort of our home has been incredibly hard. Anything you can give is truly appreciated as we work to rebuild our lives and find some stability again.
We were reluctant to ask for help because we don’t see ourselves as victims—we are survivors. We are deeply thankful for everyone who has supported us and offered help during this time. Your support means the world to us as we move forward.
