Help the Suttons after the Colorado Marshall Fire
Donation protected
Please help the Suttons rebuild after the Marshall Fire in Colorado. The Suttons navigated through flames as they evacuated Louisville, Colorado, not sure if they’d ever see their house again. They then watched on the news as a large part of their neighborhood burned. Their house was saved but suffered smoke damage, and they are now displaced for an unknown period of time.
The Suttons have been through major challenges in the past and have never asked for a hand-out or done a Go-Fund Me campaign, thinking they could get through it ok. However, this new challenge on top of past challenges is proving too much, and they realized they need your help!
The Suttons were working to get rid of tens of thousands of dollars of medical debt from Shana’s two-time Breast Cancer battles when Scott was furloughed for a year during the 2020 Covid lay-offs. (Shana has survived Stage 3 Breast Cancer, having undergone chemo, radiation, and a double mastectomy.) So part of your generous donations will go to pay off all of the medical debt that was incurred when Shana was in breast cancer treatment.
Since the evacuation has been lifted, insurance has not paid for living expenses. Unfortunately, the house is not safe to live in currently due to smoke damage. And the bills are adding up.
Thank you for helping out the Suttons! They are good folks who are active in the Louisville community, volunteering in their children’s schools and their daughters’ Girl Scout troops.
Please consider helping them rebuild after this devastating event.
