Hey everyone! We are reaching out to our community for help after a pretty crazy situation. Aldon and I bought our first house in November(anyone who knows us knows this is a big deal for us ) and last Sunday while we were visiting with family from out of town, someone tried to break in and set our house on fire. Luckily my neighbor in the back saw the fire and called 911 soon enough for the firemen to get our dogs out of the house and everyone is safe. It was a very scary feeling driving up to our new street and seeing it lined with emergency vehicles. Since it is an open investigation, it has slowed things down tremendously of us being able to get the work done the house needs for us to move back in (the plumbing and septic lines were melted). It has also put a huge delay on the insurance company being able to determine our claim status with all of the variables involved. We are paying everything out of pocket and reaching a point to where we need to ask for help to allow us to find an secure house for us to live in while everything gets sorted out and hopefully before our baby is born in February!
