Help the Sullivans Through Brinlee's NICU Journey

Brinlee was born on July 20th, 2024 at 26 weeks and 6 days. She was immediately taken to the IBMC NICU where she started her fight for life. Lindsay and Brandon are familiar with the ups and downs of NICU life because Brixton, Brinlee’s older brother spent his first 72 days of life as a NICU warrior at IBMC.

On August 12th, Brinlee had to be moved to OU Children’s NICU due to complications with her heart and brain. She undergoes weekly brain scans for her hydrocephalus and on August 19th, she had the Piccolo surgery on her heart. In the next week, Brinlee will be having two more procedures involving her intestines and also inserting a G-tube to assist with feeding. Brinlee has also been diagnosed with chronic lung disease and continues to require being on oxygen daily. Things can change minute by minute, but one thing is for sure…Brinlee Grace is a fighter!

Lindsay and Brandon take shifts at the hospital daily so that Brinlee has someone with her as much as possible. Lindsay tries to be at rounds every day so that she can get all of the information from doctors about what is going on. Lindsay is still on maternity leave at this time but is also balancing her time to make sure she is able to spend time with Brixton too. She is first person to help anyone and the last person to ask for help. Let’s wrap around the Sullivan family by supporting them during a hard season with so many moving pieces and unknown parts. They are thankful for any and all help during this time! At this time, they do not have a discharge date for Brinlee and are taking things one day at a time. This will help with meals, gas, and other expenses that come up during this time. Thank you for supporting them!
