HELP THE SUGARGLIDERS FLY
Support Australia’s Disc Golf Team at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu
Picture this: the satisfying zip of a disc slicing through the Aussie air, the cheers of a local club, and the focused determination of athletes who’ve put everything on the line. That’s the spirit of the Sugargliders—Australia’s elite mixed disc golf team—now preparing to take on the world at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.
They’ve Already Proven Themselves
Fresh off a silver medal finish at the 2024 WFDF World Team Championships, the Sugargliders have shown what Aussie heart looks like.
Just days before that tournament, co‑captain Cassie Sweeten suffered a serious ankle injury. But rather than pull back, she became the team’s rock—offering strategy, support, and spirit from the sidelines. Her dedication, along with Luke’s clutch performance, Aaron Moreton’s expert guidance as manager, and the team’s deep bond, led them to a podium finish no one will forget.
Meet the Sugargliders
- Blake Houston (18) – A rising star, known for his powerful drives, adaptable play, and professional mindset beyond his years.
- Cassie Sweeten – Back stronger than ever, with commanding throws, elite strategy, and a fierce drive to represent Australia on the world stage.
- Aaron Moreton – Former national player and current team manager, whose calm leadership and deep experience help hold it all together.
- Ken Summers & Jarrath Sweeten – Veteran players and caddies, offering crucial insights, emotional steadiness, and sharp tactical support.
But Here’s the Challenge…
Getting to Chengdu takes more than talent.

The team is:
- Sacrificing personal leave
- Covering flights, training camps, and accommodation out of pocket
- Investing in uniforms, gear, and preparation time to proudly represent Australia
- They’re putting everything into this dream—but they can’t do it alone.
