Support Portage College Graduates Fighting for Their Future

Hundreds of international students came to Canada to study, paid substantial tuition, completed their programs, and planned their futures based on the education pathway they believed was available to them. Some graduates of Portage College programs have since faced PGWP refusals, with IRCC citing the programs as “non-credit.” Portage College has acknowledged that some graduates received PGWP refusals and has advised affected students to seek independent immigration advice.

For many students, the consequences have gone far beyond losing a work permit. Some are now facing very limited time to remain in Canada, and some affected students have received exclusion orders, creating fear of removal and separation from the lives they have built here.

These students are now fighting for a fair review of their cases. They need help with immigration lawyers, judicial review/reconsideration applications, legal documentation, and other urgent expenses.

This is not just about a piece of paper. It is about years of hard work, families’ savings, education, and the future of young people who came to Canada believing they were building a better life.
