Help the Strickland family with funeral expenses

Donation protected

On May 10, 2021, the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office announced that it had completed a review of Kevin Strickland's conviction and found that he is actually innocent of the 1979 crime for which he was convicted. Despite the prosecutor's support, Kevin Strickland remains incarcerated, having served over 43 years for a crime he did not commit. Since that date, the Missouri Governor has stated that pardoning Kevin Strickland is "not a priority" and the Attorney General's office has fought Mr. Strickland's release.

While continuing his fight, Mr. Strickland has repeatedly stated that his hope was to regain his freedom in time to visit his mother and for her to see him exonerated. Tragically, his mother, Rosetta, passed away on August 21, 2021 -- more than 100 days after the Jackson County Prosecutor declared Strickland's innocence.

Because he has been incarcerated for over 40 years, Mr. Strickland is unable to contribute to his mother's funeral services. You can help support him and the Strickland family, which has already lost so much.
