Help the Stormbreaker family through an unexpected setback

Hi everyone,

We’re the Stormbreaker family—Xanthos, Nova, Eeveigh, and Viri.

In early March, we were preparing for a fresh start. We had job offers lined up and were set to begin new roles on March 10th. A position we'd be patiently waiting for over a year to begin. We secured a new apartment, got a second vehicle for the move, and were ready to begin our next chapter in a new state.

Just one week before the job was supposed to start, we were hit with the news: a government hiring freeze put everything on hold.

Now, we’re completing the final stretch of our move, but our savings have been stretched to the limit. We’ve done all we can to stay afloat—budgeting, applying, and interviewing weekly—but the reality is that we won’t be able to cover the basics beyond this next month without help.

We don’t ask for help easily, but we’re reaching out now to ask for support while we navigate these next few steps. We’re hopeful that the original position will come through once the freeze lifts, and we’re actively pursuing other opportunities.

What We Need Help With:

Food and household essentials

Emergency buffer (car repairs, medical, etc.)
