My family need the help of social media today.
My family in South Africa last night were victim to one of the nastiest wild fires in the history of the last few decades. They've lost an unbelievably amazing family home - and literally everything inside. Clothes, documents, cars, PETS :(, memories - and everything else you could imagine.

Can you imagine if a fire burnt through a town in the UK - and burnt down literally thousands of houses? And imagine now that your grandad & uncle & aunties lost everything they've ever owned?
80 years of my grandad's momories - and all of the memories of my late Gran, have turned to ash overnight. He is a charming, funny, AMAZING man who has looked after his family for decades. He doesn't deserve this.
My uncle's family are staying positive because there were people who actually lost their lives - but we all realise that they have in fact lost almost everything. They are an amazing bunch. Just a normal family like you & me, but who now have to spend their lives trying to start again.
Thankfully, the building was insured. However, unfortunately - the contents of the building wasn't. They must replace everything inside - couches, clothes, fridges, computers, desks, televisions, beds, :(
With that in mind, rather than getting overly sad or wondering why this stuff happens to good people... I am trying to help out by:
1) Collecting donated clothes from people in Liverpool to send over to them in a few suitcases, and
2) Starting this JustGiving page to give them a helping hand to start rebuilding their life. They're not a super wealthy household. They're just a normal, hard working family who need a helping hand.
70,000 people live in this town and most of them have lost their homes. I can't even imagine what it would be like if a fire burnt down so many houses in one go in the UK. I can't imagine the pain they're all going through.
Even if you can only donate a small amount - please do! It could be less than the cost of a McDonalds and each and every donation will help them start rebuilding their house, brick by brick.
Thank you & please help share this with your friends.
Here are some photos to help you understand how bad this was.

and inside used to be a kitchen.
