Help the Stanley's Recover

Donation protected
We are reaching out on GoFundMe to try and help lighten the load this wonderful family is facing. We are Mandy Hart (Justin’s mother) and Marlene Nelson (Natasha’s grandmother).

The Stanley’s are generally the ones helping others but now they are the ones who can use help. Their choice of careers proves this. Justin is currently a reserve police officer, a volunteer firefighter, and heavy equipment mechanic for Murphy Tractor & Equipment. Until recently he was Army National Guard MP. Natasha is a nurse in the United States Public Health Service. This year has been plagued with deaths, illness and accidents in both their extended family and their own immediate family. Now another tragic accident has happened again.

Justin was in a serious ATV accident on August 15, and had to be life flighted from Fair Grove to a hospital in Springfield, MO. He sustained major injuries to his torso, pelvis and had severe internal bleeding. He had surgery to reconstruct pelvis broken in three places and one portion that was chipped off. A torn bladder was repaired to stop internal bleeding. Additionally, he has 9 broken ribs, 6 fractured vertebrae and numerous muscle tears.

The blessing in all this is that the outcome ultimately looks positive, however, the recovery is going to be very long. He will be wheelchair bound and no weight can be put on his legs for at least 12 weeks to give his pelvis time to fully heal. Lots of physical rehab is in their future along with the need for special equipment and wheelchair van transportation to go to/from appointments and therapy. The great firefighters in Fair Grove are providing a ramp for when Justin can return home.

On May 2nd this year, the worst tragedy of all happened when their beautiful little girl, Brinley, died, devastating the entire family. Always thinking of others, Natasha continued to supply the Milk Bank with 40 liters of her breast milk to honor baby Brinley by helping other babies.

Previous to this, Justin had gone through surgery and treatment (successfully) after a cancer diagnosis. As you see, it’s been an extremely difficult year.

Given time off work and additional expenses during the birth and death of their baby, Justin’s battle with cancer and this accident has/is impacting them financially. They are facing loss of income as Justin normally works several jobs and Natasha only will be able to work and care for the family during his long recovery.

Many of you have expressed a desire to help in some way. This hardworking couple and loving parents would never ask for assistance so we are letting you know that they could use some support to help to pay bills for their home and children due to lost wages, the added expenses incurred previously and now during this lengthy recovery.

The Stanley’s are so thankful to friends, family and co-workers who have kindly supported them with meals, your prayers and helped with their children. Any donation you wish to bless them with, including your continued prayers, would be very appreciated.

Sincere thanks!
