Support Native Youth in Sports – Your Donation Makes a Difference!
The South Side Red Bears, a Native youth basketball team, is calling on our community for support! These talented young athletes have earned the opportunity to compete in prestigious basketball tournaments across the country, but they need your help to make it happen.
We are raising $16,450 to cover registration fees, travel, lodging, and food expenses for multiple tournaments, including:
Minnesota HOOPS League Tournament (April – Minneapolis, MN)
Miami HOOPS League Tournament (May – Miami, FL)
MJ Beauchamp Tournament (June – Seattle, WA)
Native American Basketball Invitational (July – Phoenix, AZ)
Why This Matters
For many Indigenous youth, sports provide more than just competition—they foster leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Basketball is an outlet that helps our youth stay active, build confidence, and strengthen their cultural identity in a positive environment. These tournaments not only allow them to compete at a higher level but also connect with other Native athletes from across the country.
What Your Donation Covers
✅ Tournament Fees – Registration costs for AAU and national events
✅ Travel Expenses – Flights, transportation, and lodging for players and coaches
✅ Food Costs – Ensuring players are nourished and ready to compete
