Help the Soto’s after losing 4 month old Isaiah

On August 10th, 2021 the world welcome Isaiah Soto to this world. Sadly, just 141 days later, on December 28th, 2021 Isaiah’s heart would take its last beat. This is his story…
Isaiah was born to Joseph and Shalea Soto on August 10, 2021. Joseph was finally starting a family after finding normalcy since recovering from an accident which put him into a coma ten years ago while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Life was beginning to fill their family with joy at the idea of their family having a child.
Unfortunately, Isaiah was born with HLHS, also known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. As the baby develops, the left side of the heart does not form correctly. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is one type of congenital heart defect. Because a baby with this defect needs surgery and other procedures soon after birth, HLHS is considered a critical congenital heart defect.

Isaiah underwent many surgeries and blessed his parents with one Christmas together. It was several days later when Isaiah would pass away. His family has been devastated by the journey and hope that they may one day have a healthy son. This was not going to be the case for Isaiah.
To amplify their pain and sorrow, they are now dealing with the stress and costs of all the medical bills as they begin to trickle in. The costs of the funeral alone were not in the plan for this young family. We are trying to rally support so we can make a positive impact on the Soto’s and reduce the burden of this trauma as they attempt to once again seek normalcy in life.
