Help the Sorg Family—Emergency Delivery
Donation protected
Trey and Kate Sorg felt prepared to welcome their first beautiful baby in the Fall of 2024. Kate had shown all signs of a healthy, safe, and natural delivery to come.
But at 39 weeks, baby Margaret began showing signs of distress, launching Trey and Kate into a whirlwind of confusing and difficult decisions—and now, a crippling financial burden.
They were admitted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend in mid-November, and after several days of careful testing and failed attempts to induce labor, Margaret Mary was born via emergency C-section. Thanks be to God, she was deemed healthy enough to stay with Trey and avoid the NICU; but Kate developed a post-surgery infection that required admission to the Emergency Room.
Then, they received a notice they didn't expect: An insurance complication arising from the nature of the medical interventions (an issue repeatedly appealed and denied since) resulted in NONE of their medical expenses being covered. The full cost of emergency interventions and a week's stay at the hospital would have to be paid out of pocket.
The Sorgs need your help.
The joy at Margaret Mary's birth has been shadowed by the difficulty of facing nearly $40,000 in medical bills—a serious financial burden for their single-provider household.
In your charity, please give gifts of any amount to this good family, seeking relief from the financial cost of doing the best they could for their first little child.
Most importantly, please pray for their family’s well-being, especially Margaret Mary’s.
May God reward your generosity!
