Support Olivia's Community in Helene Recovery

My name is Olivia Sommerer daughter of Heiko Sommerer and step daughter of Jennifer Malt. We live in Arden, NC.

Growing up in South Florida with hurricane preparation in our blood, none of us knew the extent of damage Helene was going to leave us with. Early Friday morning, our home, along with many others in our neighborhood in Arden, NC, was struck by a tornado during Hurricane Helene, leaving our home and many others with damage done by trees being pulled out of the ground.

We are asking for help with tree cleanup in our neighborhood, and other needs during this time. We will be using the money to help others in our community once it is safe to move to other areas and volunteer where we can.

My dad Heiko and stepmom Jennifer for being absolute heroes in helping keep me, Reily, Abby, and our fur babies safe Friday morning.

To Henry, Robert, Tom, and everyone on Glen Cove Drive for helping clean up our home and many others to make sure we could leave our street to get water and food.

To my family in Florida for calling everyone they could to get help sent to us.

To Jenn and Chris for keeping us up to date with resources and the news while we are off the grid.
