Hi my name is Ashley Vaccaro and on July 6th my mother took my step dad Tom Socco to the Emergency Room at Christ Hospital due to shortness of breath and pain in his lower back. 

To their surprise they were told he would be admitted to the hospital for some extra testing after getting his blood work back showing he had bleeding somewhere in his body. After a few days of oxygen therapy for the chest pain and a lot of blood work, his doctors decided to have him receive a bone marrow biopsy to see if he had cancer. Once the biopsy was done it indeed came back that he had blood cancer. Multiple Myeloma to be exact. My parents world was turned upside down at that point. 

What would they do now that he could not work? My mother is an Environmental Services Tech at christ hospital and needs help paying for his monthly medication, chemotherapy, hospital stays, Co pays, and many more things of daily life. One medication a month is over $16,000, Co pays are piled up to $3,000, and another medication at $6,000 per dose per month. 

If anyone could donate big or small to help out our family be financially supported during these terrible circumstances. We know how difficult it has been in these times whether it's Covid 19 or other illness like Tom is going through on a daily basis, we appreciate and thank everyone.
