Hey guys, I’ve seriously contemplated even doing this and have worked really hard to not get to this point but here we are. My name is Paige and I’m a 30 year old.. in November 2021 I went to the doctor for a lump and leaking nipples. I had a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI, and a biopsy of the lump. I heard the doctor tell me I have invasive ductal carcinoma and was going to start a regimen of chemo and radiation.. however I moved shortly after to another state and once I got to Louisiana I had to start the process over. I waited until I finally had insurance and began with the full work up. I had a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI and the “million dollar” work up my oncologist called it.My oncologist stated that I have extremely dense breast tissue and that my tumors are basically encapsulated so with his help and along with a plastic surgeon, they are removing all the tumors, the dense breast tissue and I did have to sign a waiver for a complete double mastectomy.. however I’m now at a point where financials are playing a huge factor on even having the surgery. My wife works very hard along with myself to keep us above water but with missing a few weeks of work there is no way I can have this surgery! I’m asking for help so I can have this surgery and keep stress off of us while I recover..
