Help the Smiths Rebuild After Their Loss post Helene
Donation protected
Aaron and Larissa Smith along with their two boys, lost their home and vehicle in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The flooding in Bat Cave, NC, created a landslide in which a boulder came crashing through their home. In order to be rescued, they had to hike from their home to be airlifted out. Though the Smiths are very fortunate to be alive, they feel the weight of no longer having a safe place to call home. One of their sons has special needs and is having a difficult time grasping and understanding all of the change and devastation around him. He no longer has the tools that he did at home.
Aaron and Larissa work for a Christian Travel Study Program that offers individuals a Christian perspective on their trips to draw closer to God’s heart. Ironically, their company says “Nothing shakes up our assumptions like standing in the places where powerful events unfolded, and God made himself known in a profound way.” The Smiths are in the middle of a powerful event unfolding.
We are calling on our communities to show them the love that they so willingly give to others. Please consider donating to their Go-Fund-Me page and joining us in prayer as they navigate the unknown. Let’s Stand with the Smiths.
