Help the Sliclen Family

Hinda Sliclen suffered a massive brain aneurysm on Friday, October 30th. At the time, she was at her favorite place—the cabin in the Adirondacks—and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Utica, NY, where she remains in the ICU. She is in a coma and will not be able to leave her ICU hospital bed for at least three weeks (possibly longer, depending on how her recovery goes). Her family has relocated to an AirBnB near the hospital, and, being out of town for a prolonged period, will experience many additional expenses beyond those associated with Hinda's medical needs, such as lodging, travel, and food expenses, as well as reimbursing those who have come to their aid during this emergency. Please do what you can to help the family with these costs during this very tragic time.

The family is hoping to keep this matter relatively private (i.e., not on social media) for the time being, and to control the information made available to persons like Grandma Mayo (Miriam Arnowitz) who might find this upsetting while matters remain uncertain.
