Help the Simpson Family Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

Donation protected
On September 27th, the Simpson family's world was turned upside down when a fire broke out in their basement, quickly spreading through their entire home in just 20 minutes before the fire department arrived. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but the damage has left them without a place to live and with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The smoke damage has ravaged the home, and while they wait for insurance and renovations to begin, they need immediate support to replace the countless everyday items lost.

Amy isn’t just a friend to me; she’s family. That’s why it breaks my heart to see the devastating impact this house fire has had on her and her family. They’ve lost almost everything, and while insurance will help down the road, there are so many immediate needs—basic essentials, clothes, temporary housing, and more.

The family, local to Bowmanville, consists of a hardworking Mom (Ontario Shores) and Dad (DDSB), along with their two teenage daughters—one in high school and the other just starting her first year of university. As they work through this incredibly tough time, we are asking the community to come together and help them get back on their feet.

With so many unexpected expenses and everyday essentials gone, your support will help ensure the Simpson family can stay strong as they rebuild their lives. No amount is too small, and every bit of generosity helps.

From Amy herself, she wants to share her deepest gratitude towards the Bowmanville Fire Department. Their response was swift, and their kindness was beyond measure. Amy’s father was a firefighter and captain, and the fire department has always been like family to her. The way they handled the situation showed not only their professionalism but also the heart and care they bring to the community. Amy and her family will forever be grateful to them for their quick action and thoughtfulness during such a difficult time.
