On December 4th, my life changed in an instant. I slipped in the mud while walking my kids home from school and broke both sides of my right ankle—essentially breaking my foot off my leg. The pain was excruciating, and I had to call an ambulance to get help. Now, I’m facing months of recovery, unable to work, and trying to keep things as normal as possible for my five kids, my husband, and our two dogs.
This accident couldn’t have come at a worse time, with Christmas right around the corner. My husband has had to take on everything—managing the household, finances, kids, dogs, activities, and getting me to my medical appointments—all while trying to work and support our family. It’s overwhelming, and we’re doing our best to stay strong for our children, but the financial strain is real and growing every day.
The funds raised will help us keep a roof over our heads and make sure our kids have a warm bed to sleep in and presents to open on Christmas morning. Your support will help us get through this incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful for the love and kindness of our friends, family, and community. Thank you for helping us when we need it most.
