Help the Simms family with funeral expenses.

Hi, my name is Jacinda and as most of you know our family is going through a rough time. On May 5 2021 My grandpa Johnny Simms was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a rare form of blood cancer. He endured chemo and radiation treatments for 6 months, he was the strongest man we knew and our family never doubted him or lost faith. As his health continued to deteriorate all of his children and grandchildren and close family and friends gathered in the home to spend time with him. On the morning of thanksgiving November 25 2021 my grandpa went to be with his lord and savior in heaven.

This was so hard on our family especially my grandma Donna Simms, they were happily married for 49 years. You would never see one of my grandparents without the other, they were inseparable. Our family managed through Christmas as best as we could and surrounded my grandma with as much love and support as possible.

On December 30 2021 my grandma was diagnosed with covid. As she was fighting this illness in her home she continued to get worse, on January 11 2022 my grandma was admitted to ruby memorial in Morgantown West Virginia. There they discovered blood clots in both of her lungs, arms and legs. To our knowledge given by the doctors she was getting better. She tested negative and the blood thinners were supposed to be working. On January 20 2022 my grandma was released from the hospital. Her loving brother and sister in law picked her up from the hospital and took her to their house. When she arrived she had a pain in her leg and had trouble breathing. As the situation progressed the ambulance was called. A little later I got the worst most unexpected dreaded news. My grandma had passed away, a blood clot broke loose from her leg and went to her heart. Our whole family was in shock and broken, in less than 2 months we lost my grandpa and grandma. As they did not have after life planning situated the rest of our family is left with the expenses. We would be more than grateful and appreciate even the smallest of donation to the funeral costs of both.
