The Simons family—Jimmy, Jessica, and their two daughters, Payton (11) and Presleigh (9)—are walking through one of the most heartbreaking trials a family can face. After courageously battling cancer, Jimmy is now in hospice care.

Even while undergoing treatments, he never gave up his commitment to serving and protecting his community as a police officer at UGA, where he has worked faithfully for 20 years. His strength and dedication are a true reflection of the kind of husband, father, and friend he is.

Now, Jimmy is in hospice care, and Jessica has stepped away from work so she can be by his side and care for him during these final moments together. Their daughters, Presleigh and Peyton, are facing what no child should have to endure—watching their father’s health decline far too soon.
