Help the Shetlands Start Over

This fundraiser is being organized by the family of Andy and Sue Shetland on their behalf.

Andrew is an avid outdoorsman and hunter, Coast Guard Veteran and lover of nature. Sue cared for the elderly in her nursing career and also is a lover of all things outdoors. Together they recently retired to the deep solitude of the woods in Maine. Slowly, over the last few years, they have worked to make their off-grid camp into a simple yet functional home for themselves and their fur family.

In the early morning hours on Thursday December 14th, they were awoken to their home ablaze. The fire resulted in a complete loss. Unfortunately, they did not have insurance. They've lost their home, everything is gone. Most heartbreaking of all for them to endure is the loss of three of their beloved cats.

To further complicate all of this, Andy is currently battling cancer and undergoing medical treatments. They will need to rebuild from scratch while also trying to balance critical health concerns. We are asking for donations to help them start over and begin to recover from all they have lost.
