Help Raghad Rebuild Her Life & Home

I am Raghad Shamia, I'm 25 years old. I'm Palestinian and I live in Gaza. I have Diabetes. My family consists of 2 members, me and my husband Yahia.

Before the war I used to work as a nurse at Al-Khair Hospital in Khan Younis city, and I was earning an income until the beginning of the Israeli invasion of Khan Younis.

I lost my home in this war and also I lost my job. The hospital I was working at has been demolished by Israeli forces, and so I became both homeless and jobless.

Me and my family live in extreme poverty caused mainly by the siege imposed on Gaza by Israel for 17 years.

The war started on the 7th of October while I lived in Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip. I was engaged to my husband on the 2nd of October, and we got married on August 1st 2024 during the war.

We have been expelled from our small home and we have lived in a tent for more than 8 months. After the Israeli forces withdrew from Khan Younis I went to my home and was shocked to see that my small home was destroyed by Israeli forces, and we became HOMELESS.

We have barely been able to earn money to cover our living expenses due to the war. Our life is so horrible. It's even beyond awful, our dreams have been crushed due to the war, and after my house has been destroyed I became HOMELESS .

We’re now in a place of REFUGEES in Khan Younis city, where the minimum necessities of life are not available.

There is no clean water, no healthy food, or anything suitable for living after we saw our home destroyed by Israeli forces, so we decided to start this fundraiser.

Today, I am launching this campaign, hoping it makes our dream come true again. I hope to rebuild our house. I'll do my best to reach out to every single person who would help me rebuild our house.
