Help the Shafer’s with Brandon’s medical expenses

On February 6th Brandon was admitted to Golisano Children’s Hospital with a MRSA infection in his blood. He has endured multiple surgeries due to the infection being in his hip bone. He has a PICC line in and has been hooked up to oxygen on and off for awhile. He has had many tests, X-rays, and MRI’S to help eliminate the infection but it has been an ongoing, exhausting battle. The MRSA was in his blood and had settled in his hip and pelvis so the antibiotics are trying to kill it, but the last MRI found the abscess in his hip muscle and that was positive for infection. As of right now Brandon is still in tremendous pain with no release date in sight yet. The family has health insurance, but at this point they are not exactly sure what insurance will cover. Mom and dad are doing what they can by splitting duties. Mom is staying by his side every step of the way and dad has been driving back and forth from Binghamton to Syracuse with his brother and sister every other day, but they are missing work, having to figure out meals every day. They could really use some help during this difficult time. Any donation would be a blessing. Thank you in advance.
