We’re the Seva'aetasi family—my wife and I, our two little girls (ages 4 and 3), and a new baby on the way this December. Like many parents, our dream is simple: to raise our children in a safe, stable home surrounded by love and opportunity.

In Seaside, California, that dream feels out of reach. Housing costs here are overwhelming—starter homes under 1,000 square feet are often priced around $650,000. No matter how hard we worked, homeownership seemed impossible without drowning in debt.

But then, we found hope in Mobridge, South Dakota. We’ve had an offer accepted on a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with over 1,800 square feet—for $163,000. For the first time, we can see the path to owning a home where our children can grow and thrive.

Even more meaningful, this move brings us closer to my wife’s family—her mom, siblings, and cousin—who live just a few hours away. Our kids will finally get the chance to grow up with their grandma, uncles, aunts, and cousin nearby. That connection, that support system, means the world to us.

This move also allows me to pursue my calling to become a teacher, earning my credentials in the state where we plan to plant our roots. It’s a step toward stability not only for our family, but also for the community I hope to serve.

We’re reaching out because making this dream a reality comes with many costs—moving expenses and preparing a home for our growing family. Every bit of support brings us closer to turning this dream into a life we can truly build on. We hit the road this October 25th.
