My name is Randy Manley. I am the pastor of Molokai Baptist Church. I am the Seumalo's pastor and friend. Our church family has put this fund raiser together on behalf of the Seumalo family.

On October 27th, Vaai and Omi along with their daughter Jari and several close friends flew from Molokai to Garden City, KS. They were going to watch their son, Uso, who plays football at Garden City Community College, play his final game of the season. Within a few days of their arrival all 7 traveling companions tested positive for COVID-19. Soon Omi had to be admitted into the hospital and shortly after was placed on a ventilator. While the rest of the group quarantined in their hotel rooms Vaai became more ill with each passing day. A little over a week later he also had to be admitted into the hospital because of covid related pneumonia.

We thank God that Omi is now off of the ventilator and making progress in her recovery. It will still be quite some time before she is strong enough to leave the hospital and then to be strong enough to travel back to Molokai. Presently, Vaai's condition is very delicate. It also appears obvious that he will remain in the hospital for many more days and need even more days to convalesce.

Vaai and Omi not only need our prayers but they need our financial support as well. Their expenses back home on Molokai are ongoing: house payments, bills, farm maintenance, etc. Because all of this came while they were on the mainland they have the expense of hotel, food, car rental and travel. On top of all of this once they leave the hospital they will be faced with an obviously large, yet unknown, co-pay for their medical treatment. I'm sure that you can well imagine how devastating this could all be as they try to regain their strength.

The Seumalos have touched so many lives through their generous outpouring of love. Please consider giving generously to this special couple who have done so much to help so many. This is a great opportunity for those they have loved to love them back.
