Help The Scott's After A Devastating Fire
Donation protected
** UPDATE ** April 14, 2021
I got to visit with Michael and Lauri Scott yesterday as they go through their struggle to rebuild their lives after the fire that destroyed their home. They want to thank everyone for their prayers, kindness, and incredible generosity to help get them through this difficult time. They are still living in a hotel room with their daughter and her two children while they settle with their insurer and look for a place to move their family. It’s been a stressful time for Mike and Lauri as you can imagine and recent events haven’t helped.
Last week, one of their daughters was involved in a car accident. She’s bruised up but otherwise thankfully OK. Then, they received word from their insurer that because it was a manufactured home, they do not have coverage for the expense of demolition and removal of the home from the property. Initial estimates have come in between $5K to $10K dollars, so they are looking at alternatives, perhaps a salvage company that will come haul it off for free? And, now they are beginning to reach the limits of their Temporary Housing coverage.
“There but for the grace of God, go I.” This could have happened to any of us. It’s an emotionally and financially stressful time for them as it would be for any of us. Please keep the Scott family in your prayers, and if you can please contribute to their GoFundMe to help get these good people back on their feet.Recently our wonderful friends, Michael and Lauri Scott suffered a tragic loss, a house fire. The fire destroyed many of their possessions and their home was deemed a total loss. Thankfully everyone is safe including the family dog.

Michael and Lauri are currently staying at a local motel, along with their daughter and her two children as they find the strength to put their lives back together. The Scott's have insurance but it will not cover everything and their Temporary Housing coverage will end soon.
We have set up this GoFundMe account for Michael and Lauri Scott to help them rebuild their lives. This family has been through so much in the last 12 months including a cancer diagnosis that has already put a strain on this family. Never did they imagine they would now have to deal with the loss of their home.
Please find it in your hearts to pray for this family and any contribution to help the Scott’s rebuild will be greatly appreciated.
