Help the Schrock Family
Donation protected
Mark and Vivian Schrock along with their four children live in Lynchburg, Virginia, and they need financial support for a medical need. This fund raiser is being administered by Josh Quintero, Vivian Schrock’s brother, and all proceeds will go straight to the Schrock family.
In spring 2021, Mark, was diagnosed with a brain tumor called Glioblastoma. The medical team gave Mark 12 to 18 months to live if he received chemotherapy treatment. He received treatments throughout 2021 so that he was able to be with his family for birthdays and holidays and see them settled in Lynchburg closer to friends and family. In December of 2021, Mark decided that the treatments were making him so sick that his quality of life was drastically suffering, so with his medical teams advice, chose to stop treatment.
This is a heart-wrenching decision for a family to make. The next step is to focus on quality of life for Mark. His need for round the clock care requires a team of nurses that are familiar with caring for people in this stage of illness.
A team of nurses is needed for night care but is not an inconsequential cost. Estimates are around $150 per day. This pays for medical care and nursing comfort for Mark so that he can see and be with his family as long as possible.
Would you consider giving to this fund to provide this end of life care for Mark? Your support is appreciated.
