This fundraiser is being created on behalf of Tom & Faye Scarborough; the parents of my best friend of 37 years, Tommye Jordan.

Yesterday, while Tommye was taking her mom to the doctor in Phoenix for a follow-up appointment for her cancer treatments, Tom and Faye's home of many, many years on 295th Avenue in far west Buckeye burned to the ground.

Tom was at home, dog sitting Tommye's little poodle, Pocket when he realized the home was on fire. At first, he attempted to fight it with the garden hose but quickly realized it was too big and moving too fast. Sadly, little Pocket did not survive the fire and Tom was hurt trying to go back inside to rescue him.
