Hello everyone, my name is John Sarzoza Jr. and I’m starting a GoFundMe to honor my dear father John Sr. and to both help with his Celebration of Life and funeral expenses. My father’s memory and legacy is remembered with every generous donation and kind word of support and encouragement.
As some of you may already know, I too have stage 4 colorectal cancer and have battled it for nine years now. I have a super aggressive form of colon cancer that is genetic which means my grandpa had and died of cancer, my dad has it and I have it. So many of you helped me when I was in need a few years back and I now ask for your help with my dad.
After suffering in silence for over ten years, he finally got screened and received a stage 4 (terminal) colorectal cancer diagnosis. He said that my battle with stage 4 colorectal cancer inspired him to battle it as well. Unfortunately, after undergoing all the chemo therapy sessions, radiation treatments and multiple surgeries, he lost that battle and is now in hospice (end-of-life care).
We are now caring for him around the clock as he only has days left to live. We (the family) are now scrambling to make final arrangements and although he has a small life insurance policy, it isn’t enough to cover the high cost of the funeral. Your donation will allow us to cover that cost and help honor his wishes of being laid to rest near his mother and father (our grandma & grandpa).
His whole life has been spent giving to others and never once wanted for himself. Honestly, we could never repay him for ALL he has done for us. So far we (the family) have raised more than half the costs associated with honoring his wishes but have fallen short. Can you help us reach our goal by giving today? Again, your donation will make the difference between a basic burial and an actual funeral service where the family can visit, attend a viewing, pay their final respects and have him transported to the cemetery where he can be laid to rest near grandma & grandpa (mom & dad) as per his wishes.
Thank you SO very much for your consideration, potential gift and kind words of encouragement. ~ John Jr. & The Sarzoza Family
