Help the Sappes Rebuild After Tornado

Steven and Chealsey Sappe had a devastating hit from the EF3 tornado that struck Rogers, Arkansas in the middle of the night on May 26, 2024. Steven and Chealsey were able to get their three young children to their closet for shelter during the storm, and were thankful that the main damage was focused on the opposite side of the house. They were all able to walk away from the incident without any injuries, but when they came out of shelter they found that a large oak tree had fallen on their house. It broke through the roof over the garage, dining room, laundry room, and kitchen. As the rains continued through the night, the ceiling collapsed causing insulation to fall and cover everything in those rooms and surrounding areas.

The amount of love, support, and help that the Sappes have received is tremendous and they are beyond thankful for everything that has been done up to this point. Now the process of rebuilding their family home, refurnishing what was lost due to insulation and water damage, repairing the cars, and paying for temporary housing expenses have begun and the Sappes are just in the beginning of discovering what will be covered by insurance and what other unknown expenses will be faced in the process. It appears at this moment insurance will not cover all the damage caused by the storm.

Steven and Chealsey are both educators in NWA and have three children ages 3, 4, and 11.
