On December 10th Anthony had some tests done to see if he would be able to be a living donor. They stopped his tests early and we met with 2 Drs to go over the scans. They found a few things that they weren't expecting or us for that matter. Anthony was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma in both kidneys. His right kidney has 2 masses and the left has 1 mass(very tiny). Along with that they noticed his pancreas didn't look right either. It is covered in an innumerable amount of cysts and 3 times the size it should be. We did go for a biopsy but the Gastro Dr. didn't find anything that looked suspicious, so the pancreas will stay in as it's functioning well and causing no issues. With these two findings the Drs started asking about family history and if anyone in Anthony's family had be diagnosed with VHL. VHL is a rare cancer gene.(there's a lot to it and if you're curious please look it up) Due to the findings and similarities with the kidney and pancreas Anthony was sent to have an MRI of the brain and spine.. Those showed hemangioblastoma tumors on the brain and spine( both non cancerous) and small enough not to have to mess with right now but we will follow up with more scans in 6 months to check if there's any growth. As of now Anthony had the right kidney out March 11th and we are waiting on the  genetic testing results to see if he does have the VHL gene and from there we will find out if anyone else in his family needs testing and if our girls will need to be tested too.

With having to miss days of work due to Covid protocols, follow up appointments, new appointments, future procedures and the chance that 1 if not all 4 of our girls will be going through similar appointments, scans and surgeries I'm starting this Gofundme in hopes to alleviate some finacial stress!
