Hi everyone, my name is Samantha, and I created this GoFundMe on behalf of two very dear friends of mine, Tim and Natalee Sanders.

On Tuesday, January 20th, Tim went in for what was supposed to be routine bloodwork. By that evening, their world was turned upside down when doctors urgently called and instructed him to go straight to the ER. Shortly after, Tim was diagnosed with leukemia and transferred to UVA in Charlottesville, VA, where he is now beginning his fight.

As Tim undergoes treatment, both he and Natalee will be away from work for an extended period of time. The emotional toll of this diagnosis is overwhelming on its own, and my hope is to help ease some of the financial stress that comes with it—travel to and from Charlottesville, medical bills and day-to-day expenses.

Tim and Natalee have spent their lives caring for others—Tim as a DOD Air Force firefighter and Natalee as a ER nurse—selflessly serving their community in times of need. Now, they need us. It truly takes a village, and I’m hoping we can come together to be theirs during this incredibly difficult time.
