Help the Sanchez family as Chance fights to live

Hi, my name is Natalie and I am fundraising for the Sanchez family to help temporarily pay for their living expenses. My sister Marina’s youngest son, Chance, is three years old and has been fighting for his life. Marina has not been back to work because she has been at the hospital with Chance every day; he cries without her there. He was admitted to the hospital on January 17, 2024 and it looks like he’ll be in the hospital for an unknown extended period of time.

Here’s what happened: An elbow injury from a fall turned into an infection that eventually developed into a serious blood infection called MRSA: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, a staph that can’t be killed with common staph anabiotic‘s and can be life-threatening if it spreads to the lungs, bloodstream or other organs. Unfortunately, it spread to his lungs.

Additionally, Chance had tested positive for RSV Pneumonia, had blood clots, and was also suffering from Intussusception: a rare and serious disorder in which one part of the intestine slides inside an adjacent part of the intestine. It can block food or fluid from passing through, cut off the blood supply to the part of the intestine that’s affected which can lead to infection, death of bowel tissue or tear in the bowel, called perforation.

Chance and his family have suffered a lot from this medical emergency and it has been heartbreaking, but through the good graces of God and prayers, and thanks to all the doctors, surgeons, and nurses at the hospital, Chance is doing a lot better. He recently tested negative for RSV and that’s a promising start, but unfortunately he’s not entirely out of the woods yet. Chance is still in the hospital and has a lot of healing to do. However, we are very optimistic at this time and appreciate prayers.

Father, please heal Chance from every sickness and disease aches and pains. Lord God, bring wholeness and wellness to every cell in his body. Father, drive out everything in him that should not be. Father, let every organ in Chance’s body work the way it should. Father, please heal him today and keep him safe, healthy, and happy. In Jesus' name, I pray Amen.
