The San Juan Bakery is in the heart of historic San Juan Bautista and we have been open for 80 years.  Our brick oven, big enough to hold 150 loaves of French bread,  combined with recipes handed down from our founders are the special ingredients that make our breads, cookies, pies, pastries, and turnovers a treat for our local customers and a delight for the guests in our town.
The last day we were open was March 15th and we are working hard to reopen.  Being closed for so long means we have to start from scratch again.   We need to buy supplies, begin our prep again, retrain employees to keep every one safe, and prepare for our customers.
It has been very hard to be away for so long, wondering if we would ever reopen and we look forward to seeing everyone again.  But we honestly need a little help getting back on our feet.  We’ve had no luck with getting a loan, like so many small businesses.   A lot of places have been forced to close permanently and we don’t want to be one of them. 
Here at the bakery I know it would break our hearts to not be able to stay open to serve our customers and greet new visitors to San Juan.  We love our community and have received so much love in return.  Please help us if you can.  Any donation would be appreciated.
