On May 9th, the unthinkable happened. A sudden and devastating house fire ripped through the home of the Salinas family, turning their world upside down in a matter of minutes. Thankfully, themselves and their two children walked away safe — but everything else was lost.

Their home, their memories, the toys their children grew up with, the photo albums from generations past, even the clothes on their backs — all gone in the blink of an eye.

Now, this beautiful family is facing unimaginable hardship. They are starting over from scratch, without a place to call home and without the basic necessities most of us take for granted. The kids are scared and confused, asking when they can go "back home" — a home that no longer exists.
