Help the Sacra’s save their home

Donation protected

On July 23rd, Ricky (a 25 year service member) & his wife Kirsten began the journey to renovating their current 1000 sq ft in hopes of transforming into a home more suitable for their family of 6. They started this journey on March 2020 facing many roadblocks along the way. They spent over a year trying to find a contractor/builder that would actually show up, perform the work, and be able to stay within the budget they could afford. They finally found who they believed was the right man for the job and been working with this contractor for months prior to this who had helped every step of the way. As the weeks went on after breaking ground, excavation for an addition to the house (with basement) was complete. The contractor ensured them he would complete the foundation, basement walls, and expected to have the addition framed up within 60 days, However, four weeks after excavation for a basement right up against the existing home was finished, the only portion of the job "completed" was improper footers that did not pass inspection. On August 25th it all came crashing down as the basement hole that had now been exposed for over a month is starting to erode and collapse. The foundation work the contractor did to this point was completely wrong & now has to be torn out and rebuilt from start. The Sacra family have already paid out roughly $75,000, funds that were supposed to get them to the point of having a basement/foundation complete and the home addition framed up. Now they are out most of that money and currently have no idea how they are going to pay for removal of the faulty work and the new work that is required. In addition, a large portion of the lumber package that has been delivered will need to be replaced as well.

Time is not on their side here. The mud has began to fall in on what is to be the basement and the current home is exposed making this unsafe for Ricky, Kirsten & their 4 small children. Every day the house is left exposed as it ism the chance of a catastrophic event occurring increases. Now the contractor is nowhere to be found & to make matters worse, they discovered he is on the sex offender registry. What this guy has done not only has left them in a huge financial deficit, he has left their home and their family completely unsafe. In addition, there will now be extra legal expenses required in hopes of holding this guy accountable for what he has done.

Ricky has spent 25 years (and counting) serving this country and being willing to put his life on the line for our freedoms. Let us come together and help this family get back on track to building a safe home. When times are tough for the Sacra’s let us lift them up and show them there is good in this world & we are thankful for the sacrifices that our service members make over the years to protect us. It’s the very least we can do for this family! The Sacra family needs financial assistance and/or support from any legitimate and honest contractors that are willing to assist with completion of their home,

Prayers are greatly appreciated & if anyone knows of people who could help them that would be wonderful too. Please share so we can get the word out and help as much as possible. God bless!
