My name is Meaghan Rush. My husband James and I have been together for 12 years this August and we have three girls together, ages 9, 7, and 5. We are in urgent need of support for keeping our home, having fallen behind three months on our mortgage due to his work slowing down during the winter and the rising cost of living; our monthly in 2018 started at $1100 and has risen to $1578/mo.

My husband works full time for a gutter construction company and I have been unable to work since September when our youngest had to be withdrawn to try kindergarten again this fall. Our middle daughter is nonverbal and diagnosed medically as level 3 on the autism spectrum. She cannot go to daycare after school for liability reasons and we do not have family who are able to help watch her. I went through the process of trying to receive assistance for her through SSDI for over six months last year. The answer came to us that while she is medically disabled, we were denied by being just over the income bracket.

My husband and I share one vehicle, with me taking him to work with the girls sleepily riding along and picking him up in the evenings, leading to further complications with my finding jobs that will work with his work schedule and the children in school.

In order to bring our mortgage current, we will have to pay $5,800.77 by the end of May, or we move into foreclosure proceedings territory. I believe they would accept two months of payments, which means our minimum is $3,012.41.

My husband and I each grew up in apartments and constantly moving. This is the longest we’ve ever lived in one home and we’ve raised our daughters here with the kind of childhood we had hoped they would have. It would break my heart to lose our home, but it would absolutely devastate our daughters.
