On Saturday, June 20, 2025, a devastating accident changed everything for the Roy family.
18-year-old Olivia “Liv” Roy—one of the kindest, most vibrant young women I’ve had the privilege to teach—suffered life-threatening injuries when she stepped out of a slowly moving Jeep and fell. Liv fractured her skull in four places, suffered a brain bleed, and broke her ankle. She is now facing a long, painful road to recovery.
The Roy family has been a cornerstone of our theatre program for over five years. They have never once asked for anything. They are the kind of people who quietly show up and give their all—whether it’s building sets, organizing fundraisers, or running our annual Haunted House to raise money for students. Their dedication, kindness, and willingness to serve others are unmatched.
Now, they need us.
To make matters even harder, Liv’s father—her rock—is currently out of work on disability after suffering a serious back injury earlier this year. Without insurance, the mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and day-to-day expenses are overwhelming.
This family has given so much to our community. I’m asking you, from the bottom of my heart, to give whatever you can to help ease the burden they’re carrying. Every dollar raised will go directly to support Liv’s care and help this loving family weather the storm.
Let’s rally around the Roys the way they’ve always shown up for others. Let’s give Liv a chance to heal without the weight of financial fear on her shoulders.
Please share, donate, and keep Liv and her family in your prayers.
With gratitude and hope,
Kimberly Guinn
