Help the Rohr Family with finding a new home

On October 1 2024 there was a house fire at our East Rochester apartment that started in the kitchen of the downstairs apartment of the house that we rent. At the time of the fire my 12 yr old daughter was home (she is homeschooled online) and thankfully noticed the smoke coming for the stair well (our only exit) she then called her Dad who told her to get out of the house. After leaving the house the mailman had arrived and he called 911 after seeing the downstairs filled with smoke. My husband and I had arrived shortly after arriving before the fire department my husband then went into the house rescuing our 2 dogs Defeo and Geeta and also our 3 week old kittens. With that being said the apartment downstairs' was destroyed and are apartment and belongings were ruined by smoke damage which we didn't have renters insurance for at the time. Unfortunately do to the damage downstairs the house has been deemed unlivable and may take 6 months or more before we can return. This is not something my husband or I were prepared for we live paycheck to paycheck and struggle all the time due to the cost of living these days and unfortunately the rental prices out there these day is absolutely insane and I honestly have no idea what were going to do or how we’re going to afford a new place with these rental prices and as replace things like furniture that I may not be able to get that smoke smell out of. I hate asking for help but I feel we have no choice at the moment we are staying with family but that is only temporary.
