We are FIRST Robotics Team 1277 known as the Robotomies from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School in Massachusetts. We're excited to once again participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition!

We plan to continue the momentum from last year's victory at the Granite State District Event when we compete in 2027 at UNH March 20-27 and WPI April 3-4, and we need your help to do it! We're confident we can go all the way this year. In the past several years we've either qualified for or attended district championships. There have been a few years we did not attend due to the financial burden or last-minute qualification leaving us with no time to make the arrangements.

Our best path to qualify for districts is to adopt a winning attitude from the start and finish securely at the top of the New England Region removing any doubt about qualifying. Our team is stronger than ever this year and we're confident in our ability to make it happen. We're ready for this fight and plan to build our best robot ever!

Expenses for building the robots and participating in the competition have never been higher than they are now. The entry fee for the regular season is now $6500. Districts is another $4000. After paying these entry fees, we still haven't finished paying to build a robot! Our base entry fee includes some parts, vouchers and credits at participating online dealers, but it does not cover the entire expense. We usually plan on another $4000 in addition to the cost for supplies, tools and other expendables. When we attend districts, we'll need to organize hotel accommodations for the team as well.

As of October of 2026 we've already secured approximately $6000 in donations for this upcoming season from generous donors including RTX, BAE, the Groton-Dunstable Education Fund and others. We still have a long way to go to raise the money necessary to build and compete in the 2027 season and we need your help! All funds collected will be applied to building the robot and paying for our entry fees. We appreciate whatever you can do to help us reach our goal of attending New England District Championships in 2027!
