Help the Robinsons Return to Malawi!

Let’s help the ROBINSONS return to  Malawi  with  NO  DEFICIT  &  NO  DEBT!!

Late in 2018, David and Jennie Robinson returned from Malawi, Africa with their family for a much needed furlough. As with many foreign missionaries returning to the US, they would spend their first few months back just trying to decide how exactly to feed, transport, and house their family (in this case, 8 people) and all while making arrangements to speak in as many supporting churches as possible during their time back. This task was made even more challenging due to the extreme back troubles that David was experiencing during this time.


One year later, as plans were being made to return to Malawi in Spring of 2020, the COVID-19 situation unfolded, limiting international travel. With Malawi's borders closed to foreigners, the Robinsons' plans to return were put on indefinite hold. During their time in waiting, they remained faithful in the work of the Lord --David and Jennie and the children assisted a church in southern Oregon as they transitioned to a new pastor, and from there they traveled to Tennessee to receive specific physical therapy training to help David manage his back problems.


After all this time, the borders have reopened and the plans have been finalized for the Robinsons to return to Mzuzu, Malawi!  They are very excited about the prospect of getting back to the place God called them to minister in as soon as possible!


For the Robinsons, this means the purchase and packing of many items that are not available in Mzuzu. In addition to ministry-related items, everyday things such as toothbrushes, shoes, school materials, and home goods for the next few years are purchased in advance and packed into shipping totes to be transported with luggage when they fly back. And then, of course, there’s the price of airfare!


The purchase of these items, along with the airfare for 8 people and the expense of the transporting these extra goods totals over $25,000. In addition to the costs of living, medical treatment and training, and on-going support of the ministries in Malawi, David and Jennie have been purchasing the aforementioned items for their return, and now we have have a chance to help! 


As his brother and as a personal supporter myself, I wanted to help make it possible for the Robinsons to cover these costs without having a large deficit or any debt. In addition to my regular monthly support, I am personally contributing to this campaign to help them with these costs, and I invite you to join in and help. 


This campaign is not intended to take away from anyone's normal tithes or offerings.  Anyone who knows David and Jennie knows that they have NO EXPECTATIONS on their part for anyone to participate in this.  The Robinsons are faithfully moving toward what they believe the Lord would have them do, and this is simply an opportunity for us to join in and help "bring them forward on their journey after a godly sort."
