My older brother, Nicholas Roberts, lives with our parents, who are disabled. Our father suddenly died a month and a half ago, and he tried to resuscitate him along with paramedics but was unsuccessful. Our father had no will, and it has been extremely challenging to try and settle his debts and get survivorship benefits to our mother. They are struggling to pay bills. My brother took charge of the accounts to help our mother get the benefits she needs and to get bills paid, and is living paycheck to paycheck. They have made progress, but there will still be months ahead before any relief. Now, my brother has been arrested for something unrelated, and my mom and I have no access to their financials or know what steps to take next. We are unable to talk to him. I want to try to gather funds to help pay the assorted bills (mortgage, electric, internet, water, car payment, insurance) and seek legal help for my brother so that he can at least get out temporarily and communicate what our next steps are and give us the account information, because currently we have no way to contact him unless he calls us first.
