Help the Rings Family Find a New Normal
Donation protected
Thursday morning, May 1st, Kinsey found Bryce unconscious in their home, after having had at least one tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizure. After a series of tests and lots of great collaboration from medical professionals, he is being diagnosed with epilepsy. His MRI was clear for tumors or other complications, which is great news. He does have some organ and muscle impairment to work through. Today (Saturday 5/3) he got out of the bed assisted and is doing some evaluations for physical and speech therapy. His speech and gross motor functions are intact, thankfully. He is experiencing some memory loss, confusion, some pain, and a lot of fatigue in these immediate days following the incident. He will be in the hospital here in Greensboro, NC until at least Tuesday.
We have been informed and prepared that the road ahead will be bumpy, particularly as he recovers and the Rings family settles into a new normal. Bryce will not be able to drive for six months or be alone at all, and this will require a big shift to reorganize their work and family lives. Without knowing the future of recovery, this has placed them in a situation that could really use support especially financially over the next few months as they get back on their feet as a family, with round the clock support + Bryce taking absence from his job for at least a good chunk of time.
We are looking to raise 3 months of support to cover bills/ finances and to give Bryce the space to heal, and not worry or focus or stress (as that is their biggest concern for triggers of future seizures) of providing/ rushing back to work.
We want to support the Rings family as they move through this time and find a new normal, and anything you can contribute will be so helpful!
Thank you all for your prayers and support!
