Help the Riglers get through COVID-19
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
This fundraiser is for Ken Rigler. My name is Richard, and I am the son of his wife, Roxanne Rigler.
On the weekend of January 8th, Ken began experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 after Roxanne had tested positive. Though Roxanne began to recover after two weeks of being ill, Ken's condition continued to get worse. Ken went to the emergency room the following week but, due to overcrowding in DFW area hospitals, was not able to be admitted until he had made two more trips back.
On January 14th, Ken was admitted to the hospital and began receiving treatments for COVID-19. The medical team attempted multiple treatments, but Ken still found himself struggling to breathe. On January 17th, the medical staff recommended intubation. Ken is now on a ventilator and the physicians estimate that he will remain this way for anywhere from two to four weeks.
Though the family has medical insurance, the costs for medical care are already becoming insurmountable. The goal of this fundraiser is to provide funds to the family to help cover medical and living expenses while Ken, a former bull rider, is giving COVID-19 one hell of an 8 second ride.
Ken's mother, wife, two daughters, step-children, and step-grandchildren are all anxiously awaiting his return home. We ask that anyone who is willing and able please donate to help make his return a little easier on the family. For those unable, we understand ask that you keep Ken and the family in your prayers.
Thank you all for taking the time to read our story.
