Tragically, on January 21st, 2022 we lost our farrier, father, husband, brother and friend Dave Richey. Dave's heart was one of the biggest and kindest I have ever known, and never failed to try and find a solution to a difficult hoof care situation, worked tirelessly to get a horse free from pain, and never met an animal he didn't love, and that didn't love him back. There is a service tentatively planned for February 20th at the Log Show Grounds, and we will make sure those details are shared as soon as they are available. In the meantime, this is a great place to share photos and memories of Dave.

Many of you have reached out looking for a way to help or an avenue to show your love for Dave. His loss leaves a void in many of our lives, but the impact is greatest felt by his family. The best thing we could do at this time is offer financial support to Valarie, Ziah and the rest of his family so they can have the time to grieve and some time to figure out what their life will look like in the future without Dave's daily presence. He was always the first to lend a hand or show up when anyone he cared about needed help. Let us do the same for his family now.
